Welcome to the not-quite-ready-for-prime-time schedule for OryCon 44! Seriously - we’re still hard at work on the schedule, but we want to give you an idea of what wonders await you in just a few more weeks. Please check back frequently for changes and additions, and see you in October!
Savor the vocals of Joan Gaustad with the brilliant sounds of Roy Torley on the once-repressed Ukrainian Bandura in a smaller intimate setting to start your weekend!
Gather and start your weekend with a more intimate concert with two-time Pegasus Award winner, Cecilia Eng. Belmont Goats, Narluga whales, salmon Go-Betweens, and more!
Frank Hayes sings about cats and clocks and backward uphill little fuzzy Matty Grovey stupid filk tricks. He is our FIVE-TIME Pegasus Award Winner, between 1984 and 2013, and the pied piper of the filk community, winning the hearts of children across the continent!
Andrew Ross takes off his Clark Kent glasses to reveal his secret existence as a musician, parody lyricist, book blogger and space mercenary. He has been a guest at GaFilk, ConFlikt and Counterpoint, and won the 2020 Pegasus Award for Best Writer/Composer.
Winner of two Pegasus Awards in 2022 for Best Classic Filk Song (Helva's Song) and for Best Writer/Composer, Cecilia Eng will make you laugh and cry, but will definitely entertain you. She's been actively bringing filk to the folk community and has been writing filksongs since 1984.
Eric and Jen Distad are in high demand as The Faithful Sidekicks at sf/fantasy conventions across the USA, Canada and Germany. Eric is also a founding member of FAWM (February Album Writing Month) where he writes an awful lot of songs and amassed a sizable back catalog. Eric won a Pegasus Award in 2021 for Best Mad Science Song (I Built a Time Machine) and he and Jen won a second Pegasus Award that same year as Best Performers!
